www.creditcardexpert.co.uk Four British soldiers were killed in the southern Iraqi city of Basra this morning, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has confirmed.

A brief statement said the UK personnel, along with a civilian interpreter, died this morning in the west of the city when a roadside bomb detonated underneath their Warrior patrol vehicle.

A fifth soldier was injured in the incident, an MoD spokesperson said. He was unable to confirm media reports that the incident occurred at around 02:00 local time.

Small-arms fire claimed the lives of Kingsman Danny John Wilson, 28, on Sunday and Rifleman Aaron Lincoln, 18, on Monday. Both died in the Al-Ashara district of the city.
