April 16 (Reuters) - Motorola Inc. (MOT.N: Quote , Profile , Research ), world's second largest mobile maker, said it has settled for $190 million a class action lawsuit related to Turkey's mobile operator Telsim.

The settlement payment will be taken as a charge in the first quarter and will partially be offset by estimated insurance recoveries of $75 million, the company said in a statement.

Motorola, due to report first-quarter earnings on March 18, has been under increasing pressure in recent quarters due to weakness in its cell phone business and facing stiff competition in emerging markets.

Motorola had forecast a quarterly loss of 7 cents to 9 cents a share, including 9 cents of special charges, on revenue of $9.2 billion to $9.3 billion.
